SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) _ Carlisle Cos. Inc. (CSL) on Tuesday reported second-quarter earnings of $75.4 million.
The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company said it had net income of $1.36 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.61 per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.06 per share.
The diversified manufacturer posted revenue of $1.02 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $998 million.
Carlisle shares have decreased 24% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $122.65, a drop of 5.5% in the last 12 months.
