Cellular Goods PLC - London-based developer of cannabidiol skincare and wellness products - Files papers to change name to Cel AI PLC, as it shifts focus toward using artificial intelligence to recommend personalised skincare and beauty routines. The new name "better reflects the company's intention to build an active and engaged community of strategic brand ambassadors and beauty experts who offer scalable beauty advice and product recommendations that go well beyond the current Cel AI CBD offerings", the company explains.

Executive Director Michael Edwards adds: "The high-end beauty-buying experience is ripe for disruption, and it is very clear that our prospects and customers want us to provide them with a full suite of product recommendations and beauty ideas. We firmly believe that artificial intelligence can play a major role in scaling this recommendation engine."

Edwards also is executive director of Aquis Stock Exchange-listing AQRU PLC, which also Thursday announces plans to change its name, to Supernova Digital Assets PLC.

Current stock price: 0.54 pence, up 15% on the London Main Market on Thursday
