International stocks trading in New York closed mostly lower on Wednesday.

The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts ticked down 0.2% to 154.71. The European index edged down 0.1% to 149.68. The Asian index retreated 0.7% to 177.25. The Latin American index moved up 1.2% to 211.62, while the emerging-markets index sank 0.7% to 297.75.

Chemomab Therapeutics was among those whose ADRs traded actively.

The clinical stage biotechnology company tumbled 13% despite data from a Phase 2a trial assessing CM-101 showing improvements across an additional set of inflammatory and fibrotic biomarkers, consistent with clinical results released in January.

Polestar Automotive Holding UK shed 7.7% following news earlier in the week that its subsidiary is entering into a strategic joint venture for the China market with technology company Xingji Meizu Group.
