China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited provided consolidated earnings guidance for the six months ended June 30, 2018. The revenue of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2018 is expected to increase by approximately 20% as compared with the corresponding period in 2017, and the profit attributable to owners of the Company is expected to increase substantially to approximately above USD 85 million, representing an increase of approximately above 30% as compared to the corresponding period in 2017. The Board considers that the anticipated increases in the revenue of the Group and the profit attributable to owners of the company for the six months ended 30 June 2018 are mainly attributable to: an increase in the average LME copper price from January to June 2018 by approximately 21% to approximately USD 6,954 per tonne as compared to the corresponding period last year; an increase in the production and the sales volume of copper cathodes by approximately 14% as compared to the corresponding period last year; an increase of 825 tonnes in the production of copper-cobalt alloy; and effective control over the production costs.
