China Yangtze Power's third-quarter net profit rose 38%, supported by stronger power generation amid higher river water volume.

Net profit rose to 12.64 billion yuan ($1.73 billion) compared with CNY9.16 billion in the same period a year earlier after adjustment, the company said.

Revenue climbed 24% to CNY26.88 billion, it said in a statement dated Oct. 30.

The company had last month said that power generation in the third quarter at its six domestic cascade power stations had risen 23% on the year to about 100.12 billion KWH.
