SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Cloudflare, Inc. (NET) on Thursday reported a loss of $77.5 million in its fourth quarter.

The San Francisco-based company said it had a loss of 24 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and pretax expenses, were less than 1 cent on a per-share basis.

The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 1 cent per share.

The web security and content delivery company posted revenue of $193.6 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Ten analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $184.8 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $260.3 million, or 83 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $656.4 million.

For the current quarter ending in April, Cloudflare said it expects revenue in the range of $205 million to $206 million.

The company expects full-year earnings in the range of 3 cents to 4 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $927 million to $931 million.
