KANSAS CITY - April 3, 2023 - Jackie Loya-Torres, CRA and Community Development Officer at Commerce Bank, was one of four leaders appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City's Community Development Advisory Council (CDAC) in January. The 16-member council, composed of representatives from the seven states in the Federal Reserve's 10th District, provides insights to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City on community and economic development challenges faced by low- to moderate-income communities.

The appointment aligns with Loya-Torres' passion, experience and role at Commerce Bank. "I am honored to serve on the council," she said. "I have great relationships in the communities we serve. I see the CDAC as a widening of that circle of people who can inform us about what is needed and create more opportunities to strategically support the community

Kevin Barth, chairman and CEO, Commerce Bank - Kansas City agrees. "Building strong communities where we live and work is at the heart of who we are at Commerce," said Barth. "We are fortunate to have Jackie on our team. She brings great insights into community needs, introduces strong partners and shares innovative ideas." The council welcomed four members in January, including Loya-Torres. The group meets formally twice a year and members provide insights year-round.
