Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported net interest income was LKR 22,101.24 million compared to LKR 16,375.25 million a year ago. Net income was LKR 6,095.73 million compared to LKR 6,587.5 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 4.6466 compared to LKR 5.0222 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 4.6466 compared to LKR 5.0222 a year ago.
For the nine months, net interest income was LKR 62,813.82 million compared to LKR 47,533.28 million a year ago. Net income was LKR 15,036.73 million compared to LKR 18,844.78 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 11.4559 compared to LKR 14.3571 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 11.4559 compared to LKR 14.3571 a year ago.
