MATERIAL FACT

Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional ("CSN" or "Company") informs its shareholders and the market in general that, on this date, the Company's Board of Directors elected Mr. Antonio Marco Campos Rabello to the position of Executive Director of Finance and Investor Relations and Mr. Rogério Bautista de Nova Moreira, for the position of Executive Legal Director. Mr. Marcelo Cunha Ribeiro remains as Executive Director, and after a transition period, will lead a new structure to be created by CSN's controlling shareholders, with the main focus on generating value for the group's assets.
