(Alliance News) - Cordel Group PLC on Monday said its Chief Financial Officer Thouraya Walker is taking a sabbatical for up to six months.

Cordel is a London-based company, whose flagship platform uses artificial intelligence to supply transport corridor analytics.

Cordel said that Walker is taking the sabbatical "for personal reasons, which the board very much supports."

She will remain on the board as an executive director without portfolio and will attend board meetings throughout.

In this time, Cordel has appointed Natasha Dinneen as its interim CFO. The company said she "has held senior finance roles with early-stage technology companies in the UK."

Following a two-week handover process, this change will be in place for six months.

Chief Executive John Davis said: "We take care of our valued team members at Cordel and always endeavor to accommodate their needs, whilst ensuring that their responsibilities are covered. We are delighted to have Natasha stepping in and are very confident in her experience and capability."

Shares in Cordel were flat at 4.00 pence each in London on Monday morning.
