COSCO SHIPPING Development's DONG FANG International Container (Qidong) Cold containers "Oil to Water" project successfully put into production

On December 1, a ceremony was held in the assembly workshop of Container Factory (QIDONG) to launch a project of "oil-based paints to water-based paints" for cold containers in COSCO HIPPING Development's DONG FANG International Container (Qidong). Facing the rising sun, a brand-new "Oil to Water" cold container is slowly drove out, marking the cold containers "Oil to Water" project officially put into production. 　　DONG FANG International Container is focusing on the present with planning for the future to carry out technological innovation of process equipment, strengthening green production, and shifting to cold containers water-based paints green, which has a positive promotion role to the high-quality development of industrial economy. 　　In September this year, DONG FANG International Container took the initiative to carry out low VOC paint alternative action, using three months to carry out "oil-based paints to water-based paints" technical transformation, and removing the hot spray paint process, so as to significantly reduce air pollutant emissions, playing a positive role in improving air quality and reducing VOC emissions. The "Oil to Water" cold containers have been well received by many enterprises and widely welcomed by the market, once launched, the supply exceeded the demand and the first orders have been signed. Liu Xiangdang, assistant general manager of DONG FANG International Container and director of equipment engineering center, said that "the Company is very confident in the future cold containers market, and with the continued recovery of the global economy, the container industry will have a broader development prospect." 　　On November 26, COSCO SHIPPING Development successfully completed the transaction of issuing shares to purchase container assets, and the world's second largest container manufacturing enterprise born smoothly, realizing the overall scale of annual design capacity of over one million containers.
