LEBANON, Tenn. (AP) _ Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. (CBRL) on Tuesday reported fiscal second-quarter profit of $14 million.

The Lebanon, Tennessee-based company said it had net income of 59 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 70 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 64 cents per share.

The restaurant operator posted revenue of $677.2 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $668.1 million.

Cracker Barrel shares have increased 20% since the beginning of the year.
