CSS Industries, Inc. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2019. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was USD 112.932 million compared to USD 133.231 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 7.729 million compared to USD 3.695 million a year ago. Net income was USD 7.241 million compared to net loss of USD 6.770 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.82 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.77 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.81 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.77 a year ago. For the nine months, sales was USD 266.443 million compared to USD 310.259 million a year ago. Operating loss was USD 1.727 million compared to USD 20.771 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 3.525 million compared to USD 30.156 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 0.4 compared to USD 3.35 a year ago.
