Rome, May 31, 2023 - Cube Labs S.p.A. ("Cube Labs" or "Company") - an Italian venture builder in the healthcare technology sector and listed on the Euronext Growth Milan market, Professional segment - announced the signing of a service agreement between Biodiapers Srl, a company controlled by Cube Labs S.p.A., and Sicam Srl, a historic and leading industrial operator in the national market for non-woven fabric development and absorbent technology and present, with multiple plants, in numerous countries in America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Established in 2018, Biodiapers is a startup that develops cleantech absorption technologies for infants, women, and the elderly. It is majority owned by Cube Labs S.p.A., directly holding 50.4% of the share capital and indirectly holding 33.22% of the share capital through a Trust, where Cube Labs S.p.A. is the exclusive beneficiary. Biodiapers' technology is based on 100% natural nano-clay particles designed to eliminate urine and reduce the incidence of adverse skin reactions and urinary tract infections. Biodiapers' innovation lies in its use of clay and other fully biodegradable natural materials that are environmentally friendly, reducing the significant environmental impact of conventional diapers that take hundreds of years to decompose. The company holds one patent that is protected in international markets.

The agreement encompasses, professional services provided by Sicam Srl for the development of the "core" product line, targeting absorbent solutions for the elderly, women, and infants based on clay, along with the potential to explore new product opportunities in the B2B market. This includes defining the prototype, its structure, industrial designs, and determining the materials and technologies required for the production of the final industrial prototype ("core prototype").

"We are pleased to have entered into this agreement with SICAM, a prominent industrial entity that will propel the versatile and innovative solutions developed by Biodiapers towards the commercial market," commentedFilippo Surace, CEO and Founder of Cube Labs. He further stated, "We have full confidence in the commercial potential of our cleantech technologies, incorporating clay nanoparticles, which are pivotal in the development of a new generation of hypoallergenic, safe, and effective absorbent products. Additionally, the readily available and cost-effective raw materials will facilitate sustainable development with scalable production."

The agreement is valid for a period of seven months, ending on December 31, 2023, with a total value of 22,000 euros plus VAT. Its purpose is to lay the groundwork for any potential future commercial agreement that would involve the industrialization of the Core, including technology identification, pilot plant development, and subsequent marketing of the finalized industrial prototype. In anticipation of this potential agreement, contingent upon the successful completion of the aforementioned services and the creation of the "Core prototype," a budget of 70,000 euros plus VAT has already been allocated for testing the "Core prototype" at third-party testing facilities. This testing aims to develop a corresponding prototype suitable for production and commercialization.
