Business Summary

Deccan Cements Limited is an India-based cement production company. The Company is engaged in the manufacturing and selling of cement and production and selling of power from hydel and wind sources. Its segments include Cement Division and Power Division. Its products include Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), including 53 Grade Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC 53), 43 Grade Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC 43) and 33 Grade Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC 33); Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC); Portland Slag Cement (PSC) and Specialty Cements, including rapid hardening cement, high alumina cement, sulphate resistant cement, and oil well cement. Its Power Division includes thermal, hydel and wind plant projects. The Company has two non-conventional power plant, one is 2.025-megawatt (MW) capacity wind power project, and the other unit is a 3.75 MW Mini Hydel Project. It also has installed 7.00 MW waste heat recovery power plant to generate energy from waste heat generated from the cement kiln.
