DecideAct has signed a contract with Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate in Iceland to review the National Energy Authority (NEA - Orkustofnun in Icelandic) and the Energy Fund, which is governed by NEA. Among other things, the agency works with the government and industry to shape a secure and sustainable energy future for all. With fundamental changes taking place in the renewable energy market and the utilization of natural resources in Iceland, the Ministry as well as the National Energy Authority wants to ensure that it is strategically and organizationally prepared for these changes - and to help with this, DecideAct has been chosen.

The National Energy Authority operates under the authority of the Icelandic Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate. NEA works for the benefit of society and in line with Iceland's energy policy to create a transparent environment for energy issues, promote innovation and informed discussions, and provide expert advice to the authorities for the benefit of the general public. NEA's mission is to build knowledge in its areas of operation, such as energy production, utilization, and climate issues, practice efficient and transparent governance, as well as independent and rigorous supervision.
