SHOREVIEW, Minn. (AP) _ Deluxe Corp. (DLX) on Thursday reported first-quarter net income of $24.3 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Shoreview, Minnesota-based company said it had net income of 57 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.26 per share.

The provider of graphic arts design and check printing services posted revenue of $441.3 million in the period.

Deluxe shares have increased 62% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 84% in the last 12 months.
