(Reuters) - British retailer DFS Furniture reported a 49% fall in its annual profit on Thursday, hurt by lower demand and tough market conditions, but reiterated its expectations of low single-digit improvement in 2024 earnings.
The company, which sells home furnishings like sofas, tables and beds, said profit was expected to come between 30 million pounds and 35 million pounds ($36.94 million-$43.10 million) and that profit would be weighted in the second half of 2024 due to weak demand at the end of 2023.
