Ditem Explorations Inc. announced that the drill program on its Lalande rare earth property, near La Romaine, is now underway. The drill program, directed by Ditem geologist and President Mario Joly, is to determine the depth of the mineralisation and the quality of grades below both major surface showings in the A Zone. This drill program follows the excellent results of the 2011 exploration program completed in August 2011. Two major surface showings (Zones A1 and A2), measuring about 350 m x 100 m and 250 m x 80 m, were discovered during the 2011 summer exploration program. Zones A1 and A2 are characterized by high grades of up to 5.6% and 6.13% TREO on rock samples (all saw cut, 20 cm x 20 cm x 5 cm). Although these two large surface showings are separated by overburden over a distance of some 200 m, both may well constitute one large zone. The drill program will target Zones A1 and A2 where surface high values have been identified. The Lalande property (100% Ditem) consists of 224 map designated claims covering 12,320 hectares (123.2 km2). The property is located along the North Shore in north-eastern Quebec, 12 km northwest of La Romaine. The all-season road (#138) from Sept-Iles to La Romaine, presently under construction, is now past Natashquan and should be completed to La Romaine (and close to the property) in 2016. The town of La Romaine, with a population of more than 1,000, has both airport and port facilities. Exploration programs are being conducted with the consent of the community.
