Clarification of News Report

We write with respect to the news articles published in various newspapers on August 9, 2022. Specifically, in the news article entitled "Globe seeks P622-M penalty vs DITO" posted in Manila Bulletin, DITO's subsidiary, DITO Telecommunity Corporation ("DITO Tel"), wishes to clarify the following points in the article:

First, DITO Tel, on 8 August 2022, has lodged a complaint with the Philippine Competition Commission ("PCC") against Globe Telecom Inc. and Smart Communications, Inc. for failing to provide sufficient interconnection capacity to allow phone calls from DITO to their networks.

Second, DITO Tel for the information of the Exchange and the public in general, DITO Tel has already set up an ISR Monitoring System and have already addressed the ISR specifically for this issue.

In any event, there will be no substantial effect on the business operations of DITO Tel despite the filing of the claim against it by Globe with the NTC.

We hope that the above information clarifies the facts and allegations stated in the article.
