Geordie Greig is leaving his job as editor of the UK's most widely read daily newspaper after 10 years in the role. Last night the Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT) announced that Ted Verity will replace Greig and assume overall responsibility of the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday. It comes amid a shakeup of the paper's leadership team with the chief executive of DMGT's publishing arm, dmg media, also announcing his departure this week.
