Dongfang provided earnings guidance for the year 2018. The company expects a camellia seed harvest of approximately 11,900 tonnes, up 20% on 9,900 tonnes in 2017. The navel orange harvest is expected to be a record 42,000 tonnes, up 27% on 33,000 tonnes in 2017. Higher production was due to the acquisition of a 354-hectare navel orange plantation in July 2018, and improved productivity and yield. Tangerine production is expected to be 149,000 tonnes, a crop slightly above 147,000 tonnes in 2017 due to continued improved productivity and yield. Prices are expected to be in line with the previous year. The group's pomelo harvest is expected to be 46,000 tonnes, slightly below production of 47,000 tonnes in 2017 due to less favourable weather. Unit prices are expected to be similar to 2017 prices.
