Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. acquired an additional 59.99% stakes in Nile General and Nile Family Takaful Co. S.A.E from Egypt Kuwait Holding Company (S.A.E.) for EGP 53 million.

Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. acquired an additional 59.99% stakes in Nile General and Nile Family Takaful Co. S.A.E from Egypt Kuwait Holding Company (S.A.E.) (KWSE:EKHOLDING) for EGP 53 million on August 30, 2012. With this acquisition, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. has increased its stake to 99.99% stake in Nile General and Nile Family Takaful Co. S.A.E. Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. will shortly acquire the minority shareholders. Post acquisition, Nile General and Nile Family Takaful Co. S.A.E will be renamed as Tokio Marine Egypt General Takaful S.A.E. and Tokio Marine Egypt Family Takaful S.A.E. respectively.
