Elekeiroz SA (BOVESPA:ELEK4) acquired Oxo-Gas plant at Camaçari from Air Products Brasil Ltda. on December 6, 2013. The staff who operate the plant will be transferred to Elekeiroz. The deal was approved by Cade, Brazil's antitrust authority. Elekeiroz SA will invest BRL 70 million in the assets over the next two years.

The Company offers a range of chemical products, including phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride, sulphuric acid, fumaric acid, 2-ethylhexanoic acid, n-butanol and resins, among others. The Company's technology is based on ethyl alcohol derived from sugarcane.
