Chilectra reported earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported net income of CLP 22.6 billion, down 40.2% compared to first quarter of 2013. The decrease was mainly attributed to lower contributions from South American subsidiaries, particularly Argentina. Operating revenue was CLP 246,440 million against CLP 233,412 million a year ago. Operating income was CLP 29,184 million against CLP 34,113 million a year ago. Payments for additions of fixed assets were CLP 9,138 million against CLP 9,791 million a year ago.

In 2014, the company plans to invest USD 100 million in power infrastructure.
