Energy Resources of Australia Ltd is an Australia-based company, which is engaged in the production of uranium oxide. The principal activities of the Company consist of the processing and sale of uranium oxide and site rehabilitation. The Company operates the Ranger uranium mine. Its Ranger Project area is located about eight kilometers (km) east of Jabiru and approximately 260 km east of Darwin, in Australia's Northern Territory. It also holds title to the Jabiluka mineral lease. The Ranger Project area and the Jabiluka mineral lease are located on Aboriginal land and are surrounded by, but separate from, the Kakadu National Park. The mine project area is approximately 79 square kilometers and is surrounded by, but separate from the Kakadu National Park, which is approximately 20,000 square kilometers. The Company produces uranium oxide for the global nuclear energy market. The Jabiluka estimated mineral resource is approximately 137,100 tons of uranium oxide.
