Emerging Markets Master Fund (ASX:EMF) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 23,764,826 shares, representing 25% of its issued share capital. The purpose of the buyback is capital management. The program is subject to the shareholders' approval in the General Meeting of Unit-Holders on January 30, 2018. The program shall be valid for 12 months up to January 30, 2019, unless otherwise concluded earlier by the company, if units are bought back prior to this date or if the fund determines that it is no longer in the best interest of the unit-holders. As on January 5, 2018, the company had 95,059,304 shares in issue. On January 30, 2018, the shareholders of the company approved the share repurchase program at its General Meeting.
