Expert.ai will present at the upcoming Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW) with two sessions as part of the conference program. HNPW is organized by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation that will run from April 19 to May 7, with a full agenda of seminars and online workshops.

The session 'Safeguarding against future medical threats utilizing artificial intelligence-supported medical intelligence' on April 28 at 12 p.m. UTC / 8 a.m. EST. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for governments and decision makers to intercept signals that highlight critical situations. The session will focus on the use of AI-supported medical intelligence (MEDINT) to anticipate and prevent potential threats in health, social and economic fields. It will be co-chaired by Walter David and Michelle King-Okoye of the Ronin Institute and will be introduced by Edem Wosornu, Response Support Branch Chief of OCHA. A solutions architect and a data scientist from the World Health Organization will participate in the session, while Irene Mugawambwa from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) will provide updates from the operational theater of northeastern Nigeria.

During the session, Gianluca Sensidoni, EMEA Sales Manager R&D Security Manager of expert.ai, and Alessandro Capone, Sales Manager of expert.ai will present 'Explainable AI Medical Intelligence.' The presentation will feature live demos showing how AI can transform signals into knowledge in order to prevent and mitigate health emergencies and terrorist acts, using the context of Nigeria as an example. At the end of the demo, Stanislava Kraynova from the Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence in Sofia will lead a short SWOT Analysis gathering participants' input for a subsequent report for OCHA.

Now in its seventh year, the HNPW program brings together more than 2,000 experts and humanitarian affairs professionals from over 350 countries and organizations, providing a unique opportunity to discuss issues related to crisis preparedness and response and identifying sustainable solutions to humanitarian emergencies.
