Fertilizantes Heringer reported earnings and operating results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported net revenue from sales of BRL 1,481,947,000 against BRL 1,512,504,000 a year ago. Operating profit was BRL 1,457,000 against BRL 72,435,000 a year ago. Loss before income tax and social contribution was BRL 15,426,000 against income of BRL 33,576,000 a year ago. Net loss was BRL 9,876,000 against net income of BRL 22,483,000 a year ago. EBITDA was BRL 14,744,000 against BRL 84,977,000 a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities was BRL 38,352,000.

Operating loss was BRL 19,534,000 against profit of BRL 73,129,000 a year ago. Loss before income tax and social contribution was BRL 156,995,000 against BRL 16,331,000 a year ago. Net loss was BRL 102,428,000 against BRL 9,254,000 a year ago. EBITDA was BRL 20,648,000 against BRL 111,568,000 a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities was BRL 41,291,000. The company's debt decreased from BRL 1,217.3 million in nine months 2016 to BRL 1,186.9 million in nine months 2017.
The company delivered volume totaled 1,358,000 metric tons of fertilizers in third quarter, 2.9% higher than the 1,320,000 metric tons in third quarter of 2017.

For the year 2017, CapEx Projection is BRL 20 million for this year, way below years 2014 and 2015. In year 2016, there was a dramatic drop, BRL 7 million and in the first 9 months of this year, BRL 13 million and maintain the guidance of up to BRL 20 million CapEx for the year. Expect to see the EBITDA generated by operation lower compared to what the company saw in 2016. The company expects to deliver around 34 million metric tons of fertilizers in Brazil in 2017, in line with the record level of 34.1 million metric tons in 2016.
Fertilizantes Heringer SA is a Brazil-based company primarily engaged in the production, marketing and distribution of fertilizers under the Heringer brand name. The Company organizes its business into two segments: Industrial, which constists of sulfuric acid and single super phosphate (SSP) production plant, and Mixing Plants segment, which includes fertilizer mixing industrial units. As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated 19 fertilizer mixing plants. The Companyâs products are used in the crop production sector, including farming of cane, soybeans, corn and coffee, among others. Through its subsidiary Logfert Transportes SA, the Company is also involved in the road transport operations. On January 4, 2012, it acquired Maxifertil Fertilizantes Ltda, located in the municipality of Porto Alegre. On June 29, 2012, the Company completed the operation of merger by incorporation of its subsidiary Maxifertil Fertilizantes Ltda.
