Notice Regarding the Largest-ever Arrangement of the Leasing Fund Business for Marine Containers

Financial Products Group Co., Ltd. (FPG) has arranged the leasing fund project with a total value of approximately 37.6 billion yen for marine containers of 60,500 containers in total. This project is the largest leasing fund project for marine containers that we have ever arranged.

1. Reason for the arrangement

As many companies are distributing the production bases worldwide and the globalization of logistics is spreading, the demand for container ships and marine transport containers that can transport various goods has been increasing. Major shipping companies are aggressively making capital investments to meet strong demand.

We are pleased to announce that we have arranged the largest leasing fund project ever with a major shipping company for marine containers.

The total value of this project is approximately 37.6 billion yen, and the number of marine containers to be leased is 60,500 units. This matter is the largest leasing fund project for marine containers that FPG has ever arranged in the leasing fund project and is unparalleled in the industry*.

2. Outlook

There is no change to the financial results forecast for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2022, as a result of this matter.

* In February 2022, FPG conducted its survey of two Japanese Operating Leasing projects for marine containers which the information of the scale of the project has been disclosed.
