Fineco among the global leaders in sustainability

For the third consecutive year Standard Ethics assigns to the Bank the rating EE+:

"Positive short-term and long-term vision"

Milan, September 13th2022

For the third year running, the independent Agency Standard Ethics1 confirmed Fineco's rating "EE+" (Very Strong2), thus placing the Bank among the only two credit institutions that achieved the most solid sustainability score currently assigned.

Motivating its decision, Standard Ethics highlights how Fineco, over the last five years, has constantly aligned itself with the international sustainability guidance provided by the UN, OECD and European Union. To succeed in this goal, the Bank acted on it its governance of sustainability model, on the quality of its working environment and on the protection of its stakeholders, as well as on extra-financial reporting, identification of appropriate targets for its business type, ESG risk management and the qualitative and quantitative composition of its senior management team in terms of independence and gender equality. It has carried out adequate training activities (also with regard to fair competition) and addresses the topic of technological innovation, with due consideration for any related risks.

For all these reasons, the agency considers positive its short-term and long-term vision about Fineco.

Lorena Pelliciari, Chief Financial Officer and chairman of Fineco Sustainability Management Committee: "Long term sustainability is part of Fineco's DNA, which bases the Bank's growth strategy on a fair and transparent relationship with stakeholders. Therefore, it's a natural consequence to include in our governance policies and processes aligned to the recommendations suggested by the main international authorities. This effort involves the whole Bank, and being recognized in reaching such a high level is at the same time a great satisfaction and a motivation to keep on going in this direction."
