Forsee Power announced on Monday that Peugeot Motocycles has chosen its portable batteries to power its new electric scooter.

The 'e-Streetzone' urban scooter will incorporate its 'Go 1.6' portable and compact upgradeable battery system, developed to meet the demands of manufacturers wishing to offer a speed range in excess of 50 km/h. The batteries are lightweight and extractable, making them easy to transport for recharging anywhere.

The lightweight batteries are removable, making them easy to transport and recharge anywhere using a 220V socket.

Unveiled in Milan last year at the International Light Vehicle Show, the e-Streetzone scooter - very popular with the younger generation for urban use - will also be available in a 'cargo' version for professional use.

The vehicle will have a range of up to 110 km.
