Forvia announces that it has signed a joint venture agreement with Chery, one of China's leading automakers, to deepen their strategic cooperation in the field of intelligent and sustainable cockpits.

They will establish a joint venture to design, develop, manufacture and supply cabin-related systems and modules, including seats, interiors and cockpit electronics, using low-CO2 materials and processes.

The first of its kind, this 'Cockpit of the Future' joint venture, based in Hefei (Anhui province, China), will be consolidated by the French automotive supplier, with a sales ambition of one billion euros by 2029.

A development center dedicated to industrial design and cockpit integration capabilities will be built. The joint venture also plans to launch two production sites in the first half of 2024.
