FreightCar America, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was USD 88.6 million compared to USD 56.79 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 18.89 million compared to net income of USD 14.54 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 0.73 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.58 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was USD 0.73 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.58 a year ago.

It offers covered hopper railcar product offerings encompass a wide range of cubic foot (CF) capacity designs.
