Fu Ta Material Technology Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2020. For the first quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 35.839 million compared to TWD 48.807 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 7.057 million compared to TWD 10.276 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 3.176 million compared to net income of TWD 383.025 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.07 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 8.44 a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.07 compared to basic earnings per share of TWD 8.33 a year ago.
Fu Ta Material Technology Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the production and distribution of nylon yarns. The Company operates its businesses through three segments. The Spun Yarn segment is engaged in the production and sales of cotton yarns, artificial cotton yarns, blended yarns and synthetic fiber yarns. The Grey Cloth segment is engaged in the production, processing and trading of cotton fabrics, artificial silk fabrics, blended grey cloth and artificial grey cloth. The Electronic Material segment is engaged in the recycling of solar energy materials, such as silicon wafers and others. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
