Fu Ta Material Technology Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2019. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 43.352 million compared to TWD 72.070 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 13.340 million compared to TWD 29.619 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 21.336 million compared to TWD 106.705 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.38 compared to TWD 1.63 a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.47 compared to TWD 2.32 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 92.159 million compared to TWD 101.633 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 23.616 million compared to TWD 47.972 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 361.689 million compared to net loss of TWD 141.972 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 8.06 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of TWD 2.13 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 7.86 compared to basic loss per share of TWD 3.09 a year ago.
Fu Ta Material Technology Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the production and distribution of nylon yarns. The Company operates its businesses through three segments. The Spun Yarn segment is engaged in the production and sales of cotton yarns, artificial cotton yarns, blended yarns and synthetic fiber yarns. The Grey Cloth segment is engaged in the production, processing and trading of cotton fabrics, artificial silk fabrics, blended grey cloth and artificial grey cloth. The Electronic Material segment is engaged in the recycling of solar energy materials, such as silicon wafers and others. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
