Fuji Co., Ltd. (TSE:8278) signed a share transfer agreement to acquire Nichie Co., Ltd. on January 14, 2020. Fuji Co. will acquire 100 shares of Nichie. Nichie Co reported the sales of ¥9.02 billion for the year ended December 31, 2019. The transaction is expected to close on July 1, 2020.
FUJI CO., LTD. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the general retail business. The Company operates through two business segments. The Retail segment is engaged in the general retail business, the sale and rental of digital versatile discs (DVDs), compact discs (CDs) and books, the operation of supermarkets, the sale of cars and pharmaceutical cosmetics. The Retail-related segment is engaged in the food production and processing, washing and cleaning of containers and machinery, food and beverage business, credit card business, general fitness club business, fruits and vegetables wholesale business, and agriculture business.
