Genki Sushi announced that it plans to open a new restaurant at the Safeway-anchored shopping center on Kapahulu Avenue in Honolulu. The new eatery, which is scheduled to open in July 2016, will include its touchscreen order, double-rail sushi delivery system that has been unveiled at other restaurants in Hawaii. The company said that this upgrade will cost about $2 million.

The new location will open next to Supercuts and Yooncy Korean BBQ, joining other such tenants as Panda Express, GNC, AT&T, Central Pacific Bank and Da Hawaiian Poke Co.
