UK baker Greggs shuts some stores after payments glitch, reports say

LONDON (Reuters) - British baker and fast food chain Greggs has shut some of its stores across the country as it works to resolve an issue accepting payments, the BBC and other media reported on Wednesday.

"We are currently experiencing issues accepting payments in our shops," Greggs was reported by the BBC as saying. "We are working to resolve this as soon as possible."

The issue at Greggs, popular for its sausage rolls and steak bakes, follows IT glitches faced by British retailers Sainsbury's and Tesco over the weekend.
