The value has been determined based on the results of the Life Cycle Assessment in the environmental declaration compliant with the EN 15084 standard. The document has been verified by an external expert and has the status of a European 'ECO-EPD verified' declaration. Additionally, the certificate has been published on the ITB [the Polish Building Technology Institute] sustainable building portal, thanks to which the profiles are acceptable in the 'green' buildings certification systems, such as BREEAM, LEED and DGNB. This facilitates their use in creating more sustainable architectural aluminium systems. The average greenhouse gas emissions in the world related to the production of one kilogram of primary aluminium is 16.7 kg CO2e*. This means that applying Kęty profiles in buildings structures reduces the carbon footprint by 75%!
