Grupo Energía Bogotá S.A. E.S.P. (BVC:GEB) completed the acquisition of Elecnorte SAS ESP from Ashmore Andean Fund II, LP, managed by Ashmore Management Company Colombia SAS, Green Electtribus S.A.S and Nb Laof - Wayu S.À R.L. for approximately $110 million on June 17, 2022. Juan Carlos Rocha and Diego Cardona of Philippi, Prietocarrizosa & Uria acted as legal advisor to Grupo Energía Bogotá. Felipe Mariño of Gómez-Pinzón Abogados acted as legal advisor to Ashmore. The General Assembly of shareholders approved the merger of GEB and Elecnorte.
