HOLLISTON, Mass. (AP) _ Harvard Bioscience Inc. (HBIO) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $2.4 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Holliston, Massachusetts-based company said it had profit of 6 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 5 cents per share.

The medical instruments maker posted revenue of $29.2 million in the period.
