Harworth Group plc has appointed Andrew Blackshaw as chief operating officer and Jonathan Haigh to the new role of chief investment officer. Andrew Blackshaw Jonathan HaighIan Ball, who joined Harworth in 2014 and was appointed chief operating officer (COO) in 2019, had previously advised management of his intention to leave the business at the end of January 2022. Blackshaw, who joined Harworth in January as interim director of corporate strategy, has extensive executive experience from leadership roles in a number of real estate businesses. In his new role, he will focus on implementing the group’s strategic plan as well developing new products and partnerships. Blackshaw is a chartered surveyor and has previously held senior roles at Manchester Airport Group, Deloitte and PwC. Haigh has been a Harworth consultant for the past six months, and as chief investment officer (CIO) will oversee the company’s income generation portfolio, strategic acquisitions and direct development. Haigh is a chartered surveyor and has over 25-years’ experience in property development and transactions, gained in leadership roles variously as developer, investor, occupier and adviser.
