Wilson has chosen HAV Group?s water treatment business to deliver the ballast water treatment systems to six 3,800 dwt newbuild bulkers that are being constructed at Udupi Cochin Shipyard in India. Under the contract, HAV Group?s water treatment business will supply its energy efficient ballast water treatment system (BWTS) to the six newbuilds. The company has not disclosed the value of the contract.
The award includes options to deliver the BWTS system to eight additional bulker newbuilds that Wilson is building at Udupi Cochin Shipyard. HAV Group?s water treatment business will manufacture the ballast water treatment systems at its headquarters in Fosnavåg, Norway, and deliver them to Udupi Cochin Shipyard. The business supplies ballast water treatment systems and other systems for purification of water for use in the aquaculture industry and in the maritime sector. HAV Group?s contract party is Norwegian Greentech AS, which is headquartered in Fosnavåg, Norway. The contract has been booked as order intake in the fourth quarter of 2023.
