Heron Lake BioEnergy, LLC reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended July 31, 2013. For the period, the company reported net income attributable to the company for the third quarter ended July 31, 2013 was $2.55 million, or $0.06 per diluted unit, compared to $470,598, or $0.01 per diluted unit, for the same quarter ended July 31, 2012. Revenues for the third quarter ended July 31, 2013 were $45.58 million, compared to $41.91 million for the same quarter ended July 31, 2012.
Net income attributable to the company for the nine months ended July 31, 2013 was $635,798, or $0.02 per unit, compared to a net loss attributable to the company of $2.20 million, or $0.06 loss per unit, for the same period ended July 31, 2012. Revenues for the nine months ended July 31, 2013 were $125.20 million, compared to $121.96 million for the same period ended July 31, 2012.
Heron Lake BioEnergy, LLC owns and operates an ethanol plant near Heron Lake, Minnesota with a permitted capacity of approximately 72.3 million gallons per year of undenatured ethanol on a twelve-month rolling sum basis. In addition, Heron Lake BioEnergy, LLC produces and sells distillersâ grains with solubles and corn oil as co-products of ethanol production. The Companyâs segments include Ethanol Production and Natural Gas Pipeline. Heron Lake BioEnergy, LLCâs wholly owned subsidiary, HLBE Pipeline Company, LLC (HLBE Pipeline Company), is the sole owner of Agrinatural Gas, LLC (Agrinatural). Agrinatural, is a natural gas pipeline company that owns and operates the natural gas pipeline that provides natural gas to the Companyâs ethanol production facility and other customers through a connection with the natural gas pipeline facilities of Northern Border Pipeline Company in Cottonwood County, Minnesota.
