Heron Lake BioEnergy, LLC announced earnings results for the third quarter ended July 31, 2020. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was USD 14.165 million compared to USD 27.367 million a year ago. Operating loss was USD 3.919 million compared to operating Income of USD 381,693 a year ago. Net loss was USD 3.960 million compared to net income of USD 326,579 a year ago. For the nine months, sales was USD 56.450 million compared to USD 78.560 million a year ago. Operating loss was USD 12.688 million compared to USD 2.847 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 12.619 million compared to USD 2.812 million a year ago.
Heron Lake BioEnergy, LLC owns and operates an ethanol plant near Heron Lake, Minnesota with a permitted capacity of approximately 72.3 million gallons per year of undenatured ethanol on a twelve-month rolling sum basis. In addition, Heron Lake BioEnergy, LLC produces and sells distillersâ grains with solubles and corn oil as co-products of ethanol production. The Companyâs segments include Ethanol Production and Natural Gas Pipeline. Heron Lake BioEnergy, LLCâs wholly owned subsidiary, HLBE Pipeline Company, LLC (HLBE Pipeline Company), is the sole owner of Agrinatural Gas, LLC (Agrinatural). Agrinatural, is a natural gas pipeline company that owns and operates the natural gas pipeline that provides natural gas to the Companyâs ethanol production facility and other customers through a connection with the natural gas pipeline facilities of Northern Border Pipeline Company in Cottonwood County, Minnesota.
