Item 8.01 Other Events.

On September 8, 2020, Heron Therapeutics, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing a successful Type A meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in which alignment was reached on the plans for the Company to resubmit the New Drug Application for HTX-011 for the management of postoperative pain in the fourth quarter of this year (the "Press Release"). A copy of the Press Release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
