Hoteles City Express, S.A.B. De C.V. Announced earnings results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2020. For the fourth quarter, the company announced sales was MXN 386.775 million compared to MXN 816.943 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 187.056 million compared to operating Income of MXN 142.829 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 304.494 million compared to net income of MXN 21.905 million a year ago. For the full year, sales was MXN 1,482.238 million compared to MXN 3,150.624 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 597.125 million compared to operating Income of MXN 520.678 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 1,112.645 million compared to net income of MXN 127.683 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was MXN 2.99 compared to basic earnings per share of MXN 0.34 a year ago.
Hoteles City Express SAB de CV is a Mexico-based company, which owns and franchises a chain of hotels. The Company's activities are divided into two business segments: Hotel operations and Administration. The Hotel operations division includes management and rental of own hotels, as well as brand franchising. The Administration division provides administration services for hotel owners. The Company operates various hotel formats under a number of brand names, such as City Express, City Express Plus, City Express Suites, City Express Junior and City Centro. It owns over 120 hotels. The Company's hotel infrastructure is located in Latin America, including Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica and Colombia.
