The Board of Directors of Hyflux Ltd. announced the appointment of new management committee members in a move that will help better position the Group to capture growing opportunities in the global water industry. A number of new appointments and promotions that will take effect from May 1, 2013 will take the Group's management committee from seven members to nine. Mr. Gary Kee, 58, Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director, will be appointed Executive Director, Corporate Finance.

Mr. Kee, who joined the Board of Hyflux Ltd. in May 2011, was previously the Chief Executive Officer of the Trustee-Manager and Non-Independent Executive Director of Hyflux Water Trust Management Pte Ltd. Mr. Kee, who will remain as a Non-Independent Director on the Board, will oversee the corporate finance, treasury, investments and information technology departments at Hyflux. Mr. Kee will take over from Mr. Cho Wee Peng who has resigned from his post as Group Executive Vice President and Group CFO to pursue personal interests. Mr. Cho's last day with Hyflux will be 28 June 2013.

Mr. Kee will be assisted by Ms Lim Suat Wah, 47, Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance, who will be promoted to Group Executive Vice President and Group CFO. Mr. Sam Ong, currently Group EVP and Group Deputy CEO, will be promoted to Group Senior EVP and Group Deputy CEO. His portfolio will include expansion of the Group's business beyond Hyflux's existing key markets.

Ms Winnifred Heap will be promoted to Group Senior Executive Vice President and CEO India to reflect her larger role and responsibilities over the Group's operations in India, a growing market for Hyflux. The Group, which has an office in Chennai and engineering resource centre in Pune, will have a staff population of about 500 in India by the end of 2013. In addition, Ms Heap continues to oversee investor relations and corporate communications at Hyflux.

Mr. Kee, Mr. Ong and Ms Heap will report to Ms Olivia Lum, Executive Chairman and Group CEO of Hyflux. Mr. Kum Mun Lock, 43, Managing Director, Special Projects, will be promoted to Senior Managing Director. He reports directly to Mr. Sam Ong and helps to develop markets in the Middle East and the Africa continent.

In addition, Mr. Kum will also be leading the technology acquisition division, which is an integral initiative as the Group continues to strive for continuous innovation in designs, technologies and processes that will create enhanced values for its customers. Mr. Kee, Ms Lim and Mr. Kum will join the management committee that currently comprises Ms Olivia Lum, Mr. Sam Ong, Ms Winnifred Heap, Mr. Oon Jin Teik, Group EVP and CEO China, Dr. Andrew Ngiam, Group EVP and Group Chief Operating Officer and Mr. Peter Wu, Group Senior Managing Director and CEO of Galaxy NewSpring.
