FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., - Jose Munoz, global president and COO of Hyundai Motor Company and the president and CEO of Hyundai and Genesis Motor North America, has been named a 2022 Notable Champion of Diversity by Automotive News. Munoz is among 18 executives in the industry who've demonstrated their commitment to improving diversity, equity and inclusion.

Munoz is responsible for driving greater performance in key strategic regions and leading global talent acquisition and management to recruit and retain core, diverse talent in new technology-based businesses. Within the last three years, Munoz has embraced and fostered diversity amongst his own colleagues in leadership, to eventually lead the most diverse C-Suite in the automotive industry. He has also supported key diversity and mentorship initiatives within the company, dedicated to supporting African-American, Hispanic, Asian, female, millennial, disabled, veteran and LGBTQ employees.
